There are other magnificent areas to explore including the neighboring towns of Uitenhage and Despatch, which are part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality, the administrative area spanning the

Port Elizabeth area

Nelson Mandela Bay: A Cultural Venue

Nelson Mandela Bay is one of the favorite venues as offering a true ethnic mosaic of crafts and arts archetypal of the residents of the region. This area envelops all the past and present history in a very sumptuous and interesting way. The heritage of the different European pioneers to the area can be observed and experienced in the various monuments, most notably in the places of worship such as the old churches, cathedrals, mosques and synagogues, in the music and the buildings as well as in the food on offer throughout the area.

As a cultural venue, Nelson Mandela Bay prides itself on many magnificent art galleries and museums, endowing with an insight into the past and present. The diverse cultures and traditions are captured in a unique and creative way that makes this area an indispensable stopover for all art lovers. Visitors are warmly invited to take pleasure in the unique South African aviation art gallery, which has just opened its doors in PE, exhibiting exceptional aviation paintings. The gallery is considered to be one of the finest of its kind in the world and unquestionably worth a visit. SAMPLING PORT ELIZABETH

There are plenty of great attractions to get through and a self drive tour is the most pertinent way to explore the town of Port Elizabeth. Most tourist advisors recommend that visitors hire a car to explore the many eye-catching sights and local attractions in the area of Port Elizabeth. The following are some of the most popular excursions that I will personally recommend to visitors:

Exploration of PE’s Spectacular Attraction Sites

Bayworld

Bayworld Museum, PE

Featuring the Snake Park, the Maritime Museum, and Oceanarium, Bayworld, which stands as a beachfront complex, is probably the most popular attraction in PE. The Oceanarium hosts an entertaining dolphin show, aquarium tank, where visitors can outlook the vast array of marine life, whilst the Snake Park is home to a wide range of snakes. Ghost star Patrick Swayze dies at 57 of a Pancreatic Cancer

Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze

It did not come as a surprise though, it sounded shocking to his fans when on Monday evening, Annett Wolf, Swayze’s publicist announced in a statement the sad news: “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today [in Los Angeles] with family at his side after facing the challenge of his illness for the last 20 months.” But Wolf would not give further details.

It was unveiled in March 2008 that Dirty Dancing, The Beast and Ghost star Patrick Swayze, who had managed to sparkle moviegoers’ heart was suffering from a fatal form of cancer. Given the grim nature of the disease, many reports suggested that Swayze had only some few weeks ahead of him, but his doctor refuted the claims saying that the situation was “considered more optimistic” than it seemed. The Queen of Pop Whitney Houston is Back With ‘I Look to You’

After a seven-year break, the queen of 80s’ long-anticipated album I Look to You is finally in stores since August 31. Whitney seems to have put behind her wild behavior, which overshadowed her 2002’s comeback attempt with Just Whitney and tarnished her stately image she had earned with the original soundtrack album The Bodyguard. Now, with I look to You, the queen of pop is eager to win back her fans and restore her splendor to her musical legacy.

I Look to You: Rebuilding Whitney Houston’s Imperial Musical Legacy

Storing eleven great songs (Million Dollar Bill, Nothin’ But Love, Call You Tonight, I look to You, Like I Never Left, A song for You, I Didn’t Know My Own Strength, Worth It, For the Lovers, I Got You, and Salute), Houston’s new studio album I Look to You is literally a reconciliation of the singer with herself and perhaps with those who may have caused her tribulations in mind. Huston is ready to let go her pains, deceptions and anger and turn a new page: thanks to the support of illustrious songwriters, producers and hit-makers like R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Akon and Diane Warren. (more…)
